The Prediction Machine

The Prediction Machine is the first science film commissioned by InScience. The film reveals that visual perception is not a passive registration process, but is actively directed by our predictions and expectations of the world. 

The film is based on research conducted by Floris de Lange at the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour. Filmmaker Marleine van der Werf is known for her other documentaries Onbegrensd (NFF, IDFA) and De vrije markt (NPO, 2Doc). After the première, Van der Werf and De Lange will discuss how they made the film.
